Moroccan-born, Bronx-raised rapper French Montana is a 3x Grammy Award-nominated, Diamond-certified artist, humanitarian influencer, and philanthropist. Actively fighting for global health care efforts in Uganda, he is Global Citizen’s first rap ambassador.
French Montana’s fusion of classical East Coast rhymes, wavy pop swagger, and international ambition have elevated him to the global forefront. Over the years, French has built an indie empire with his Cocaine City imprint, which began with a series of DVDs in 2002.
His Platinum-certified debut studio album, Excuse My French, was released in 2013, peaking at No. 1 on the Hip-Hop and R&B album charts. His second studio album, Jungle Rules, in 2017, peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard charts, also receiving Platinum certification.
The lead single from the album, “Unforgettable” featuring Swae Lee, sparked an international dance challenge and led French to partner with Mama Hope and Global Citizen to improve one of their hospitals in Uganda.
