Tesla is starting production at its new 80 GWh/year Shanghai Megapack factory on Feb 11, 2025 and they have started construction on a third megapack factory that will likely be 80-160 GWh/year.
There were 200 GWH/year of fixed energy storage installed in 2024 and Tesla installed bout 30 GWH of it. Tesla will install about 60-90 GWH in 2025 while the overall market will grow to about 270 GWh.
Tesla market share is growing.
This is despite low cost China competition. There is overall environment of low cost batteries and this is analyzed.
