Zimbabwean Man Arrested in South Africa for Stealing a Truck
A 42-year-old Zimbabwean national has been arrested for stealing a white Toyota Dyna truck in Kroondal, Rustenburg.
The suspect was intercepted near Maanhaarand following a high-speed chase after police received a lookout message for the stolen vehicle.
According to the South African Police Service, the yet-to-be-unidentified male stole the truck from a second-hand car dealership.
Initial reports indicated that it was headed toward Rustenburg town.

Dealership Owner and Farmers Assist in Tracking
The dealership owner, who was tracking the stolen vehicle along the R24 road toward Magaliesburg, contacted law enforcement.
With the assistance of local farmers, police officers managed to locate and intercept the truck near Maanhaarand.
The 42-year-old suspect was questioned but failed to provide a valid explanation for being in possession of the vehicle. He was subsequently arrested for theft and possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle.

Suspect to Appear in Court
Authorities have confirmed that the suspect is legally in South Africa. He is expected to appear soon in the Rustenburg Magistrates’ Court to face the charges.
The North West Acting Provincial Commissioner, Major General Patrick Asaneng, commended all parties involved for their swift response and collaboration in apprehending the suspect.
