Brand Finance’s Global 500 2025 : Toyota Motors, with an estimate of. $64.7B, remains the world’s most valuable car brand.
Following Toyota on the overall ranking in autos are Mercedes, Hyundai, Tesla, BMW, Porsche, VW, Honda, Ford, Audi and Ferrari.
One of the biggest gainers since 2020 is Chinese Electric Vehicle giant, BYD, which grew USD$14B (up from USD$3.1B).
Japanese automaker, Toyota Motor Corporation, is once again the world’s most valuable car brand, according to Brand Finance’s Global 500 2025 research published on Tuesday January 21st 2025.
In its latest annual Best Global Brands ranking, Toyota, with an estimate of USD$64.7 billion, ranked 18th in the overall ranking — led by Apple (USD574.5B), Microsoft (USD461.1B) and Google (USD413.0 billion), respectively.
Following Toyota on the overall ranking in autos is German automaker, Mercedes-Benz, with an estimated brand value of USD$53 billion. Mercedes sits at number 23 on the overall ranking.

Third on the 2025 Most Valuable Automotive Brands is the Hyundai Group with USD$46.3 billion, while Tesla with brand value of around $43 billion now stands in fourth and 36th overall (down from 18th in 2024).
Other car makers recognized on the 2025 Best Global Brands list includes BMW (37th overall), Porsche (40th overall), Volkswagen (61st overall), Honda (70th overall), Ford (86th overall), Audi (127th overall) and Ferrari (158th overall).
