Even if you are only just getting really into trucks and SUVs, you’re more than likely familiar with Arctic Trucks. They are the mad minds behind the arctic adventure bright red Toyota Hi-Lux trucks made famous by Top Gear and its trio of hosts. You might have at least seen the memes and GIFs while trolling the internet. Now, the brand has reached back not only into its history but also Toyota’s by modifying a brand-new Land Cruiser to create the AT37.
The name gives thanks to the Land Cruiser’s use of 37-inch diameter BFGoodrich tires, shod in either All-Terrain T/A KO3s or the Mud-Terrain T/A KM3s when more off-road grip is needed. These 37×12.50R17 tires are wrapped in a set of Arctic Trucks Heritage wheels, forged aluminum pieces that feature dual valve stems and are finished in satin black. You’re also able to adjust the tire inflation via Arctic Trucks’ central inflation system. Additionally, the speedometer, TPMS, and Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) systems are recalibrated for the larger diameter tires.
To fit these massive tires the body, chassis, and suspension needed massaging and changes from stock. First, the frame is altered to help clear the much wider than stock tires, and new suspension components that increase ground clearance by about 1.5-inches and offer increased the travel are added in, which helps with the ride while driving in the most remote places in the world. A major upgrade, however, is the R53 Suspension with a set of monotube dampers and matched springs. These coilovers and dampers also feature two-way damping adjustment for a customized ride experience for the taller springs.
The body of the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser is re-engineered for the wider stance and increased wheel travel with a widebody setup and new fender flares. These flares also help remind owners of the proper tire pressures with a guide molded into them at all four corners. They also offer a recess for the central tire inflation system connection. Also fashioned to fit these new flares are a set of mud guards that feature the “Arctic Trucks” logo.
To make hopping into the Arctic Trucks modified Land Cruiser easier, a pair of side steps are installed. They are made of extruded aluminum and rubberized inserts help keep your grip in slick environments. Out back, the Arctic Trucks team was able to build in a discrete two-inch receiver hitch that provides more than just a towing point. Thanks to a wide variety of receiver hitch options out there, you can mount anything from a winch to a barbecue to a gear carrier. When not in use, you’re not even able to tell that it’s there. The interior sees some minor work with a unique shifter, dash trim, Arctic Trucks floor mats and sill plates. Finally, the exterior features many non-functional touches with the addition of emblems with the Arctic Trucks logo and “AT37” badging.
Expect to see the 2025 Arctic Trucks Toyota Land Cruiser AT37 by the second quarter of 2025. Official Arctic Trucks dealerships will offer complete versions or offer customers conversions of their existing Land Cruisers, including here in the U.S., but pricing hasn’t been announced. We estimate a price north of $20,000 for the kit alone, based on a similar setup offered for the 2010 to 2023 Lexus GX460 AT37 conversion.
